AOP part 30: 'Sperimenting Some More

So of course I tried some more experiments, this time so that Maja was more clearly defined within her own space around the edges and letting the centre do whatever needs to be done to accommodate the final pseudo-kaleidoscope treatment.

I like both parts. I like the clear reflections that are obvious and "realistic".

But I also like the central space of four elements. There is an almost alien quality to it. We sort of recognise human shapes and curves, but overall there isn't enough there to establish a proper human being, so we are left with a slightly disconcerting, discordant shape.

This kind of experiment can be great fun - and a great time consumer! You want to apply it to everything to see what happens. You build up a small collection of images which when you first saw them you were really taken by, but in retrospect have a sort of "samey" feel to them all.

Now, this experiment was about reflections and rotations and is maybe less useful. But a similar messing around with colour toning for example has left me with recipes I use all the time.
