I’ve worked with Leah many times over the years, and I did her first photoshoot. Leah is now a very successful and much in demand model. Leah would be the first to admit she is "fun-sized" and this means that the whole cat-walk area is (literally) out of her reach. That hasn’t stopped her creating a strong niche working with photographers both locally and nationally on photographic projects where the catwalk height is not crucial.

An experimental session for me exploring Jude’s absolutely brilliant dance skills.
The simple blocks create a minimalist setting and space for Jude to work around.
This lifts the space beyond a simple white studio cove, but does not detract from the main focus of Jude and her movements.

Jude is an astonishing and capable professional dancer, these are just one of the many sets we created together. This is one of those cases where I feel my lack of dance awareness probably means I’m showing Jude in positions that aren’t correct – so any flaws in the dance pose are entirely my fault

While working with Jude – a professional working dancer – I was fascinated by the musculature and physiology of her amazingly toned and controlled body. So we took some time to explore just body shapes and forms. From these I prefer the more abstract views, but they all reveal shape of body and anatomy that most of just don’t have the physique for!

Although Jude is primarily a dancer – and a very good one – these images explore her base physicality. Her control, awareness and strength of her body allows her to pull of poses that look simple but are in fact very difficult.
The purpose of this set of images was to create very simple yet striking images.
