AOP part 54: Different Angle
As I said, the vertical hanging shots were difficult in the location, but this much lower shot I really like.
It is a much more interesting pose and of course completely impossible without the aid of the ropes.
It is also a shot that makes more sense of the location. I think the more general aerial shots work better against a plain background, but the floor and wall work really well here.
In post processing I have done some intensive work on the many darks and lights within the image. Maja's face is quite close to the window light and most of the body was lit to some extent; this made it all look a little flat.
In post I've brought much more tone and shape into Maja's physique. I've also applied a fairly strong and broad vignette to remove a lot of the background and bring the focus very strongly onto Maja.
This is an excerpt from "Anatomy of a Photoshoot" which gives a complete breakdown of two days shooting with a full in-depth step by step review of everything that I do.
