2012 – Predictions time!
Well, not exactly. I want to talk about the future of photographer technology, ideas that (a) could happen and (b) should happen. I’ve tried to keep things rooted in tech that is around now, so I’m not dreaming up mind-reading photography or anything like that.
1) Cameras Should Change Format
Why in the digital age our cameras should follow the old film format shape I have no idea. My MkII still has a left hand bulge where the film used to go!!
But the whole format could be changed. So …
This has always been one of my favourite images. I have it in the studio on a mega-large canvas print.
These images were from a shoot for Feva Design in Cheltenham, Steve Douch and Elliot did the make-up and hair styling respectively.
Dani Turner is the model – and she has a terrific smile.
I’ve worked with these guys a few times now, and it’s always a pleasure, some groups just naturally relax and work together and this is one of them.

I love the painterly effect on this image. Ms DeBauch has that sort of pin-up look about her and I wanted to echo the fifties painted pin-up style for her.
But of course one of the best things about working with a model like Anita is in their flexibility.
That they can change their style so easily and know how to work in a different set and lighting arrangement.
Because here she is looking completely different again.
Anita by the way is really working hard on the burlesque circuit, not to mention which she’s …
It is all so easy to get excited about the build, the sets, the equipment and forget that it all counts for nothing unless you can actually get clients into the studios.
I have a range of projects around that theme which I’ll discuss in more detail on later posts.
I just wanted to do the SEO / Google bit now.
I very quickly set up this blog as part of the marketing strategy. Part of the premise of the blog is just to share the journey …
