AOP part 58: Not an Airbrush

This look I blissfully stole from the movie "Blade Runner". In the film the character Tris, played by Darryl Hannah, applies this herself using an airbrush in one sweep. I knew from what I had seen of Maja's make-up skills already that she would have no problem emulating the look with just regular make-up tools.

It is such a striking effect because it really makes the eyes pop.

Just sticking with the movies for a moment, you will also see this same trick used on superheroes that wear masks. The eye holes are left fairly large (as we discussed earlier) but then the skin around the eyes is coloured to match the mask. The viewer only sees eyes popping out through the mask.

In the earlier images with this outfit, we had kept the zip down to give a bit of cleavage to the shots. Here I thought that would distract from the style, so we pulled the zip up to the collar to give a more science fiction look.
