Photoshoot: Faith Obae
So this is a bathroom, with a sloping roof at 45 degrees. The ceiling is mirrored - so that is how we end up with this weird angle and reflection.
Faith and I only had about 40 minutes for this shoot on location, so we had to make the most of it. Part of the task was to capture some fashion styled images featuring the silver dress. This one uses conventional advertising posing.
This show is more structured in the pose. It's not without its difficulties, especially the base of the thing she is sitting on - but I love the way the tapestry and it's colours work against Faith's skin tones and the silver dress.
Fashion shots in the bag I then went exploring Faith's face (tongue twister).
These next three shots are great examples of how a great model can create three different emotionally evocative images and why you should always hire professionals.
All three of the images have different stories, different feels, different emotions. Choosing a favourite from the three always depends what mood I'm in at the time.
