Had a great day yesterday running this workshop for the RPS.

Five keen photographers and one great nude model Cat Pearce and loads and loads of shooting time.

Some course days can be hard, because the students might not be up to speed technically or artistically, but this was one of those days were everybody got the idea.

Then I can just pour some energy and expertise into their shooting, with little hints or bits of major coaching as required.

If you’re interested I still have two more sessions to go with the RPS this year: there’s another Creative Nudes session and a Fashion Workshop session. The creative nudes is fairly easy technically, as long as you can plug studio flash into your camera your away. The fashion one is much tougher technically and you really need some awareness and experience of studio flash.

You can book either of those courses through the Royal Photographic at www.rps.org, you don’t need to be a member to attend.

One of the add-on parts to the workshop is the post workshop critique. When everybody’s got home and had a chance to look through the images the attendees can send me a collection of images for review and critique. These can be the best keepers, or the “I know what I wanted but this isn’t it – what should I have done”. As they come in I’ll see if I can post a few up here so you can see the results from the day.
