Shooting in a corridor with gels
This shoot is about (a) working in a confined space and (b) using gels on lighting sources behind the model.
The strobe behind the model is covered with a red gel. The strobe in front is bare bulb. By adjusting the relative ratios of the coloured and plain light sources you can change the depth of the colour in the background.
These were also shot with a fairly long shutter exposure, to ensure that some light from the windows at the end of the corridor also registered, otherwise the corridow would have no length.
While there, I spotted this wonderfully scratched up reflective surface. You must decide whether the model is looking at themselves or looking at the camera reflection or the camera directly.
Each of these eyelines gives a quite different feel to an image.
