The Professional Curse
So the past two months has been all about building and finishing my new studios.
While this has been going on I've had to pull back on earning money and shooting (which do mostly go hand in hand).
Well now I've got to get back to earning my living and actually taking pictures. But...
But, do you know the most economically useful thing I've done this week has nothing to do with photography at all. It's been paperwork. Signing up for VAT, arguing about my business rates and finding a cheaper gas supplier all have a greater financial impact on my business (and life) than taking photographs.
And that is the professional curse, that your business may demand things of you than actually doing what you want and love.
I find that kind of sad really.
