AOP part 57: Long Shot Shapes

As you can see when you have something completely black the thing that gives any sense of shape to the subject are the highlights.

Normally I would use shadows to create that sense of three dimensions but you don't get any visual assistance from the shadows at all with this kind of material.

This means you have change the posing style so that everything is quite open. Arms need to be clearly separated from the body. Legs need to be kept apart.

If you don't do this the blacks merge together and give you undefined blocks without form.
