AOP part 63: How to pose and frame your shot to maximise the impact of the outfit
To really show of the intricacy of the halter top we really need to get a close up image.
If I had not done this you would never see the detail of how the individual straps weave in and out of each other.
Turning the head to full profile with the mouth wide open clearly means a strong personality.
As an advertisement or fashion feature this means that the viewer (and potential buyer) has a whole lifestyle and personality portrayed for them and they know instantly that they can be that person and insert themselves into the image.
I should also mention that Maja's look, the make-up and the bald head also carry so much information and clearly define all of this as "alternate".
All of that is entirely appropriate for this kind of outfit. But would completely fail with a cashmere jumper!
As an aside, I would love to put Maja into a business suit, I think that would look really cool.
This is an excerpt from "Anatomy of a Photoshoot" which gives a complete breakdown of two days shooting with a full in-depth step by step review of everything that I do.
